Dear Silver Springs School Families,
It is often said that the only constant in life is change. With this in mind, it is with mixed emotions that I share the news of my departure from Silver Springs School, as I have accepted a position at Royal Oak school. Serving as the leader of this exceptional school, in this amazing community, has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Silver Springs School stands out for the way in which students and staff are fully engaged, a love of learning is evident and there is a deep sense of care and purpose. It truly is a place that teaches children how to connect with one another and the world. Together, we have fostered a nurturing learning environment for our students and created an incredible sense of community. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together.
It is not easy to say goodbye to such a remarkable community. Know your children are in very good hands with staff who are entirely committed and passionate about helping children see their worth, helping children learn about the beauty and importance of the natural world and helping children find a love of learning.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the students, parents, teachers, and staff who have made my time here so fulfilling. Your commitment to education, collaboration, and excellence has been the driving force behind our success.
In the coming days you can expect to receive a message from our Education Director, Kevin Howell, in regards to HR processes related to the new principal for Silver Springs School. I will of course support the new principal of Silver Springs to ensure a smooth transition for students, staff and community. My last official day as principal of Silver Springs will be Friday, January 24th.
As I move on to new challenges and opportunities at Royal Oak School, I carry with me the fond memories of our shared accomplishments and the profound impact each member of the Silver Springs School community has had on my professional and personal life.
Thank you once again for the privilege of serving as your proud Principal.
With sincere gratitude,
Michelle Ryskamp
