Dear Silver Springs School Parents/ Guardians,
As I reflect on the wonderful memories, we've created this school year, my heart swells with pride and gratitude. From the halls buzzing with excitement during Halloween Howler and Santa's Workshop, to the camaraderie forged at grade 5/ 6 camp, from the cheers and laughter echoing across the field on Sports Day to the awe-inspired faces on our field trips and community walks, each moment has been a testament to the magic of learning and togetherness.
To our grade 6 students, you have blossomed into remarkable individuals, equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with invaluable life lessons and friendships that will endure a lifetime. As you spread your wings and soar into the next chapter of your journey, carry with you the spirit of curiosity, resilience, and compassion that defines our Silver Springs School community.
To our returning students, the adventure continues! Let's embark on another year filled with discovery, growth, and endless possibilities. Whether it's unraveling the mysteries of science in the classroom or exploring the wonders of nature on our community walks, let's embrace each opportunity to learn and grow together.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers and support staff. Their unwavering dedication and commitment to nurturing the minds and hearts of our students is truly commendable and appreciated.
To you, our parents and families, thank you for your support and partnership throughout the year. As we bid farewell to this school year and eagerly anticipate the adventures that await us in the next, let's hold onto the memories we've made, the lessons we've learned, and the bonds we've forged. May your summer be filled with laughter, joy, and cherished moments with loved ones. Until we meet again next year, remember these three things: Work hard, learn lots, and always be kind to one another.
Families will be able to access student report cards for the 2023-24 school year online through MyCBE. These can only be viewed, downloaded or printed until July 26, 2024. Parents and guardians can login to MyCBE (https://sis.cbe.ab.ca/public) to view student information, including report cards, comments from your child’s teacher, and attendance information. For best access to information, log in to the MyCBE portal instead of using the PowerSchool App.

Reopening information:
· Our school office will close on Friday, June 28 at 1:00pm.
· The office reopens on Monday, August 26th at 9:00am.
· Your child’s teacher will reach out to you on Tuesday, August 27 via School Messenger. email. They will introduce themselves and let you know where your child will meet them on the first day of school.
· Our first day of school will be Thursday, August 29. School starts at 8:26am.
· More updates will be posted to our school website at the end of August.
· A reminder that our Friday dismissal time will continue to be 12:35pm.
· If you have any general questions at that time, please do not call the main office. Instead email the school’s general mailbox at Silversprings@cbe.ab.ca. Please note that our email messages are not monitored during the summer months. We will respond to parent messages within the first few days of school.
