Dear SS Parents and Guardians,
We had a wonderful Sports Day today, with wonderful weather and tons of fun for all of our students! A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to all our Parent Volunteers for your help! You rock!
Next week we start swimming lessons. Silver Springs School will soon be participating in our Life Saving Society – Swim For Life lesson program at the Silver Springs Community Centre Outdoor Pool. Lessons will take place each day during the week of Monday June 9, 2025, to Friday June 13, 2025, and the following week Monday June 16 to Friday June 20, 2025. Kindergarten students will NOT be swimming on Fridays.
During the weeks of the lessons, we ask that the students come to school wearing their swimsuit under their clothes. This allows for a short time in the change room before the lesson. Clean underwear should be packed for your child to change into after the swim lessons.
Please also make sure they have a towel, a plastic bag to put the wet towel and swimsuit into, and definitely extra snacks, as they will be extra hungry!

Register Now for Yellow School Bus Service for 2025-2026
Families are now able to register for yellow school bus service for the 2025-26 school year. Service levels and proposed fees are outlined below.
Registration is available through your MyCBE account. (If you do not already have an account, learn how to create one.)
Families must register by Sunday, June 22, 2025 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year.
We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 22 deadline will be delayed. Confirmed routes will be posted in your MyCBE account in August. For those who register after the June 22 deadline, it may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus.
Transportation can be cancelled with no financial impact by submitting the cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2025.
